Hi!

I am playing tabletops for over 10 years now and really like Skirmish tabletops. Now I found Eden and I really like the Jokers and the cyber-samurai, but I am a bit unsure if I should buy the tabletop.

I am really concered about the rules and the game balance. It seems like some armies have far less models than other armies and this is hard to balance. So before I start an other tabletop I want to know what I buy :-). Also there are no tactic guids or something similar, that show what each faction can do, so that it is not possible to find out something about the playstyles and tactics of the different armies.

So can the rules of the characters be found anywhere, so that we know what we are actually buying ?
Hello !

You can read the rules over here : http://eden-the-game.com/index.php5?modu...oad_regles
The characters cards are (at the moment) only available in french on the former website. I'll see what I can do for english people.
I can assure you that the testing team makes all it can to have a balanced game. We deeply think about mini combination and we test all of them, which took a lot of time.

Nevertheless, I'll give you the results of the very first two tournaments which took place last week-end in France. One has been won by the matriarchy (6 minis) and the other by the ISC (3 minis). On the podiums, you'll also find the 2 other armies.

S.
Thanks!

It would really help to get a look at the english cards, so that everyone here can choose the faction he likes the best. Good looking miniatures are one thing, but playing a faction that doesn't suit personal playstyle is always bad :-).

I've got to say I agree with you about going into the game blind. Without seeing any of the Models stats beforehand it's a bit of a lottery as to whether they suit your play style.
Never the less I've gone for Clan Bamaka and my regular gaming pal has decided on the Blue Oyster Club, (Matriarchy).

More background fluff is always welcome as inspiration for scenery making. Cheers
Just do what I did and order ALL the models. Then you don't have to worry about...

a) Finding an opponent.

b) Finding a faction that suits you.

It just creates the new problem of having to figure out how to sneak them into the house...

Do what I do, point out they take up less space than your wife's shoes!
