Had a ninja aquire the Paladine for me at Salute (bless him!), but no statcard was enclosed within, so I came to wonder if she never was intended to be used in EDEN?

Yes, she's intented to be used in Eden.

Klaus was a special offer included with the first Convoy starters for last Christmas. Seeing as all those starters flew off the shelves within 24 hours, you'd be hard pressed to find one now (sorry
). The Paladine is only available during conventions or can be won during tournaments (contact Taban for more details).
And yes, you can include the Paladine in a non-stigma troop, with her pet-slave if you want
