The Jokers duo is one of the most wow-inducing minis I've seen this year. Certainly up there with some of the most classic moments of Hell Dorado and Smog 1888 minis meaning that I'm insanely impressed and a tad intimidated by how on earth could I do justice to that with my painting skills. An utterly amazing mini and one of your all time best.

Duncan is a solid mini. Nothing utterly spectacular, but good stuff and I'll be getting it for sure to complement my Resistance.

Rampart Man is again a truly, truly great mini. To the top three of the Matriarchy line, IMO. The car door is an awesome idea and the mini works really well.

Hildegard is something rarely seen in the minis world, so kudos on that. She has a great sense of movement and the posture is awesome.

Felinda, well, I'm a sucker for well-done tribal girls. Like Duncan, a solid sculpt that works well.

So all in all, an amazing set of releases. Very high quality all around and keeping up the awesome of the last wave. You're sending a very powerful message to the minis world with these two waves.

Skullsplitter (perm)
Each time Hildegarde inflicts wounds at the head of an opponent fighter with a melee attack, he receives in addition a Slowdown marker.

Sledgehammer (perm)

Hildegarde can use this special ability when an opposing fighter has performed a Dodge reaction against an attack from Hildegarde. This fighter must then re-roll all the successes of the Dodge roll. New results replace former ones.

When a Shaman allied fighter uses an action special ability, it can be resolved as if he is in Felindra Tiger-Head’s place. Special abilities granted by Missions cannot be used via Mystic possession.

Equipment : Submission mask (Pr) : Head+1.
Shield (Pr) : Arm+1, Torso+1.

Temple slave (perm)
The Rampart-Man can be recruited only if a Templar type fighter is also recruited in the same troop. The Rampart-Man cannot be choosen as your troop leader.

Rampart (action) (1AP, 1/round)

Choose an allied Sister fighter within 10cm from the Rampart-Man. Heal a number of CP of your choice from one limb (of your choice) of this fighter. Then check as many CP in one limb of the Rampart-Man. The use of this ability does not allow the Rampart-Man to check more CP than CP he has unchecked.

Tortured (perm)
When one or several of the Rampart-Man’s limb have no more CP, he is only removed from the field at the end of the round. If until then, any gaming effect grants him at least 1 CP to all the limbs that had none left, the Rampart-Man is not considered as incapacitated anymore.


Duncan - Human - Cyber, Protection (30 points) – RES007 - 30 mm base

Exo-armor (Pr/Tech) : Full+1.

Kinetic Shield (perm) (1 BU, 1/round)
Until the end of the round, all allied fighter within 10cm from Duncan earn the following equipment (Kinetic Shield (Pr) : Full+1) when they are the target of a ranged attack.

Electro-static pulse (perm) (2 BU, 1/round)
At the beginning of the round, after choosing the first player, you can activate this ability. It remains effective until Duncan loses 1 CP, otherwise until the end of the round.
As long as a fighter is located within 10cm from Duncan, and if he is not of Cyber type, he must re-roll once each success on his PSI, CBT and SPD tests. New results substitute the old ones.

TBM (perm)
(for translation purpose, TBM means Tunnel Boring Machine)
During Preparation phase, you can choose not to deploy up to two fighters of your troop and hold them in reserve. Duncan must be one of the two chosen. After having deployed your troop, place two ‘Tunnel’ markers (30mm base) on the field, at more than 5cm from any opponent fighter and objective markers. During the Intendancy phase of your choice, you can deploy the reserve fighters within 5cm of a ‘Tunnel’ marker and not in contact with an opponent marker or a mission objective. Both fighters must be deployed during the same Intendancy phase and within the same ‘Tunnel’ marker. Any other fighter than Duncan which is deployed this way earns a Slowdown marker when deployed. While they are not deployed, reserve fighters cannot be affected by any gaming effect.

Agile (perm)
When Josep & Svetlana is the target of an attack, the initiator suffers a -1 CBT penalty for this attack.

Ring of fire (perm)

When an opponent fighter loses at least 1 CP because of Josep & Svetlana’s melee attack, he receives one Burn marker.

Kerosene (perm)
Burn markers are not removed during the Intendancy phase.
Moreover, when resolving Burn markers, the protection (Pr) value of equipment on all fighters within 15cm of Josep & Svetlana is reduced by 1.

Tumbler (perm)
When Josep & Svetlana perform a Movement, they ignore the fighters and scenery on the gaming field. However, they can not end their movement on a fighter or scenery which does not have the Occupation special rule.

Duettist (perm)
When Josep & Svetlana are incapacitated, replace them by Josep or Svetlana, as you choose. The effects and conditions applying to Josep & Svetlana apply to the new fighter that replaces them. The new fighter arrives with Josep & Svetlana’s remaining AP. If this ability is activated during Josep & Svetlana’s activation, the new fighter continues this activation.

Moreover, when resolving Burn markers, the protection (Pr) value of equipment of all fighters within 10cm from Josep is reduced by 1.

Duo (perm)

Josep cannot be recruited in a troop.

so you can split the 2 models on a 40mm base to 1 model and 1 model on 40mm bases?

I believe that they start the game as one entity, then when that is incapacitated, you don't remove the mini but rather you choose which single profile to use. So only one model on 40mm base but it has two "lives".

When Josep & Svetlana (which is a particular fighter) is incapacitated, you can choose one of the two other fighters, either Josep OR Svetlana, to take its place (basically, you killed one of the two and the other is still there) and continue playing.
