I'm not super fond of the BDSM theme, but I do like the Red Order Sisters a lot, so started a small Matriarchy force. The first mini I painted for them is Torture-man:

He likes long walks on the beach (after the fall of civilization) and being called Little Red Riding Hood. Nothing special, really, but I did have fun painting the skin and the fireman's axe turned out somewhat OK.
Comments and criticism are super welcome.

Hi to all a brand new player here, just imported several starter packs for me and other people to get into as Eden has not made it to these shores
(New Zealand)......On to my question.

When in Melee attack with out any modifiers and the target uses Passive Reaction is this correct.
A: I roll equal dice as my combat value against the targets VIG any dice that equal or beat the VIG are classes as hits.

b: then I roll 1 dice to see where I hit.

C: lets say 3 dice are successful hits and my location dice was 2

D: this to me means the target suffers 3 hits on the combat part of the card. yes

E: Or I could do the + - thing to say put a hit to the head -1 and the other hits could go to the combat stat because of my location roll of 2 on the dice. or maybe I could put the 3 hits to the head using the +-

Thanks for any help

I have taken the liberty of starting a Facebook group for Eden (if one already existed, I couldn't find it). We're named 'Eden Players of the UK (and Beyond)'.
My plan is to hopefully introduce groups from different cities and create a player base with which to entice new players and maybe arrange meeting up for events or casual games as well as sharing photos, discussing things and all that usual stuff.
Come and join.

As always, it was great to be there ! The best show for miniatures lovers around the world
The french corner (us, Smartmax and Ammon) was a little cramped (not enough space for a demo unfortunately), but the stand was never empty and draw a lot of people on their way to Forgeworld (having those guys as neighbours is great ).
Some infos we gathered or revealed :
The website is now available in english : eden-the-game. Still lacks some features, but it will be complete in the following monthes. All the cards are there though, so you can check them anytime.
The Bayakoye campaign is being translated in english and will be available in the next Ancible issue, before its release on the website.
A charming young lady pointed out the possible misinterpretation of the Combat abbreviation (CBT). After much laughing, we decided to keep it (for now)
An army builder website is on its way.
What i am really trying to say is that I ( and I guess lots of other forum members) would really appreciate any Eden background.

One more thing, Are we going to see the Escape game translated into English as I would buy it.

Thanks

Hi there,

i want to start with a new Skirmish game. I take a look at "D... Age" and Eden. I love the miniatures of both games but didnt dig into the rules rigt now. One thing i realy miss in Eden is a complete Forcelist for the faktions. I love to have a complete overview of the aviable armys, so i can find one that fits my playing style. I havent found such list for Eden, are there some list aviable or do i have to buy a starter box for more information about the armys ?

Hi, i move this topic here cause I think is a more correct place for it.
I going to comment my battles. If some experienced players want to teach me so I can learn right tactics and to use my fighters properly.

Excuse me for my english, I know it's bad >_<

------------
My First Game:

I played Capture with the starter against a mission where he need to find a tunnel to escape. He deploys the resistance starter -the boy and robot and with chelsea.

I had hard times first turns, chelsea killed Kunoichi, and second turn killed the grey daimyo >_<

I let my fighters without Ap to deffend (error!!) and allways forgot to use a Tactical card at the start of the turn. (So I couldnt use the contaminated zone the rest of the game )

But later, with Execution, and the Ronin I captured the woman with the cannon, and next turn I used smoke to protect myself against all the enemies. Then thanks to secret objectives, he run with all of his fighters to the tunnel and escaped, granting him 75 VP. But i move to my deploy area with the captured girl, so i won 100 VP!!

First real game and a Win. Was a lot of Fun, but i need to learn to play well my fighters. I had much to learn.

My Second Game:

Again against the resistance. He plays a mission where they need to follow some clues at the center of the battleground, (Following the tracks). I played prioritary target.

He plays Jimmy and robot, Ashton, Alice and Chelsea.
I played ISC starter. I selected chelsea as prioritary target (bad idea >_<)

First turn i played Contaminated area to difficult the enemy movement and advanced with Daimyo, giving one aditional AP to the ronin. (Chelsea was close to him). My enemy ran with chelsea out of my area, and regroup his team.
I try ranged attack with Kunoichi, but was useless, and then Ashton the cyborg charges me, leaving my robot-ninja with only one hit at head >_<
in adition, Jimmy captures one of the tracks earning 25 VP... hard times for me.

Second turn I bet high for iniciative, so I could use Lure with Kunoichi and move him to safer place. I learned not to use all AP with my robots. I start the turn with kunoichi, now close to Jimmy and killed him in one roll
Chelsea charges Kunoichi, but i dodged. She in addition push me close to a wall. Danger!
My ronin take the turn to exchange attacks with the cyborg. Both getting hurted. I used smoke screen so alice couldn't charge me.

Next turn my opponent used a card to activate the robot without Jimmy's help, so he was my priority. I charged and killed the robot with my daimyo. Again, I give one AP to ronin.
Ashton tried to kill my ronin, who was healed with a Repair. He uses 2 attacks, and fail to disengage.
Kunoichi was on danger, so I disengage and use the Jump skill to go away from chelsea.
Chelsea comes to my daimyo area and collect another track.
My ronin killed Ashton... and we couldn't play more turns.

So... he collects 2 tracks 25 + 35 = 60 VP
I killed ashton, Jimmy and robot 30 + 15 + 10 = 55 VP

Was a close victory, allmost draw. I learned not to select chelsea as a target. If would had chosen Jimmy or the robot (easy targets to kill) I would been victorious.
Also I learned to mantain my robots alive all the time possible, running if necesary, to fight later, very important.
Again, the smoke is awesome, and daimyo was usefull in this battle with his +1AP. I need to learn to use the Kunoichi. And the Circular strike of the ronin still seems useless... will see.

Overall was a very enjoying game

When a miniature is intercepted by another with higher SPD...

A) The fighter intercepted counts as activated and cannot do nothing this turn?

B) The fighter intercepted can be activated later in that turn?
Thank you so much. I hope today we can play another game. (2nd )

I really like the new look but would like to voice two suggestions:

1) The colour of the font in the posts is a bit too close to the background colour. I mean, I can make it out fine, but a bigger contrast would make it easier on the eyes to read long posts.

2) The smileys have white borders which make some of them look a bit off. Especially the question mark dude looks a bit messy:

If you decide to act on my point one and improve the contrast by making the background on the posts darker, the problem is likely to worsen a bit.

As I said, not big things, and I do like the new look, but especially acting on the first one would make for a marked improvement IMO.

Anyway, thank you for continually working on the website. Much appreciated!

I'm on a mission, a mission to finish everything I own before Salute at the end of April. Quite a task but I'm on track and just finished 'phase 3' which was to paint the rest of my Eden models (Tarar is still unfinished but he'll be done by the end of today). So, first up - ISC!

Fairly pleased with how they turned out, but I did rush them a bit. Still, they look good kicking arse on the table and that's what matters the most

Next up - Bamaka pygmies! I wanted to go for a 'creepier' look and make them look even less human so based their colour scheme on cave salamanders (ie: very pale/translucent skin) turns out that painting transluscent skin isn't as easy as I hoped so they've ended up looking more albino, but it still works I think. You can see WIP Tarar in the background. I added the mask to him to make him look like he's trying to emulate the features of his smaller kin, and I think I'm going to daub his skin with white paint to make it seem like he's trying to fit in (much like the Diggas do with Orks in Gorkamorka). He's taking a while to paint so I'm posting this up as I wait for some ink to dry, will post pics of him himself when he's done.

I absolutely loved painting these little guys, and the big guy for that matter. A joy to paint such intricate detailing, their faces in particular are amazingly well sculpted and take a lot of effort out of painting them

Sorry for the crap photos, I tend to spend all my money on toys rather than useful things, like a good lamp or lightbox!

Also just realised I forgot to take a pic of the Mireling (for Sekongo's 'shadow beast'), you can see the WiP of it in the background. It's finished now and I'm really pleased with how he turned out so will put a pic uip later with Tarar.
