Tournaments
Hi guys,

Just wondered what the experiences have been running tournaments in Europe? I expect that a few have been run over there, so I'm wondering what has started to develop as the 'standard'.

Do people often play on 60x60 boards, or larger? Missions/restrictions? NPFs?

Thoughts?

RE: Tournaments
Well, there's been quite a lot of tournaments in Spain and France already Cool
In France, we have an average of 4 tournaments a month, which helps greatly to creat a strong community.
We always play on a 60x60 board, as it's easy to carry around and it's also the most efficient board we tested for fast games. NPFs are used once in a while, but are no obligation as not everyone has (enough) NPFs (new NPFs available soon by the way Wink).
As for the Missions, the common restriction is you cannot play the same mission twice during a 'normal' tournament. 'Normal' is a 4 games tournament, quite easy to fit in a day. If more games are to be played, this restriction can be expanded, but not too much because we want to avoid the players using the same mission over and over.

Do people usually play 100 point limits? Or larger?
